Ladle furnace plant in steel making area
Project objectives:
Increasing the capacity of steel making plant by 600,000 tpy and improving the quality  of the produced steel.
The supplied equipment consisted of No. 4 ladle furnaces, changing the existing 8 electric arc furnaces tapping mechanism to E.B.T. , oxygen-natural gas and carbon lancing, and Argon blowing.
All activities were carried out concurrently with the continuous production of the plant.
The project which was a joint venture between IRITEC and IRASCO was completed successfully in May 1999 and is now under operation.

2 x 310 T/H slab reheating furnaces
Two 310 t/h walking beam slab reheating furnaces have been installed and commissioned in the hot strip mill plant of Mobarakeh steel Company. By installation of these two furnaces, four reheating furnaces are now available.
The first furnace was installed and commissioned in Nov. 1999 and the second furnace in March 2000. The project was a joint venture between IRITEC and IRASCO. The installation of the furnaces was carried out without any interruption of the production operation.
By addition of these furnaces together with other modifications mentioned here, the hot strip mill has reached the installed production capacity of 4,200,000 tpy.

Revamping of hot strip mill
This project consisted of design and installation of a new rolling mill stand (F7) and necessary modification of existing stands (F5 & F6) with the target of increasing the production capacity of the plant from its initial 2.4 mty up to 3.2 mty. The execution of the project which was a joint venture between IRITEC and IRASCO took 28 months and was completed successfully in Nov. 1998, and now is in operation. Most activities were carried out concurrently with the continuous production of the plant.

Hot strip mill plant - revamping of Roughing stand R3 and down Coilers
In this project the existing single pass roughing stand has been modified to a reversing stand, thus upgrading the roughing train annual capacity to 4.2 mty. In Coilers area the existing pneumatic coilers are modified to hydraulic ones and three coil strapping machines have been installed. The project which was a joint venture between IRITEC and IRASCO was completed in Dec. 2001.
