Amak Project consists of engineering, procurement construction and commissioning of seven gas compression stations, a gas treatment plant, 280 Km of gas pipe line and about 100 Km of power transmission lines, in Ahwaz area south west of IRAN.
The goal of the project is gathering the associate sour gases being flared from the southern Iranian oil fields of Ahwaz 1,2 & 3, Marun3, Kupal, Mansuri and Ab-Teymur, treating them in gas treatement plant and delivery of sweet gas to NGL plant.
The acid gas of the first station treatment plant will be delivered to Razi Petrolchemical Complex in Bandar Imam for desulphurization.
The commissioning started in November 2004.
The project which is on a buy-back basis is a joint venture between IRITEC and IRASCO financed by Naftiran Intertrade Co. (NICO)
